Programs Description:
Cedars is a residential preparatory school for students with ADD/ADHD, low self esteem and related educational concerns. The environment is 73 beautiful acres in Southern Delaware. These 12-18 year old students learn how to organize their rooms through the same process as learning how to organize their numbers to solve and algebraic equations. We emphasize organizational skills throughout the day so that the students become aware of the organization inherent in their world. Consistency is vital in teaching organizational skill. We spend much time Òcross teachingÓ from the residence to the classroom, from the dinner conversation to the SATÕs, from the riding arena to the take-home essay. Every interaction with the student is an opportunity to teach and relate the skill development to other areas of their academic and interpersonal lives
